Surah 1
opens with Al-Ḥamd
🤲 رَحْمَة (mercy) and its related forms appear over 570 times in the Quran — more than almost any other theme. Every surah but one begins with بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ, which contains the root of رَحْمَة twice.

📖 Spot Your Words in the Quran
Eight words — eight verses — all familiar surahs you have already heard.
Al-Anʿām 6:12
كَتَبَ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ
He has decreed mercy upon Himself.
An-Naḥl 16:53
وَمَا بِكُم مِّن نِّعْمَةٍ فَمِنَ اللَّهِ
Whatever blessing you have — it is from Allah.
Al-Baqarah 2:3
وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ
And they establish prayer and spend from what We have given them.
Al-Fātiḥa 1:2
